Surprise, surprise!
It is my pleasure to bring to you the latest installment in a series of songs that I wrote about the feminine psyche as seen through the lens of horror. For a long time, I've felt that the relationship that the genre has had with the cultural concept of woman is undeniable. An example of this is the multiple feminine archetypes it has created: Scream Queen, Final Girl, the succubus or helpless victim. The list goes on.
Perhaps playing in the gray areas we may find a middle ground- slashing away expectations and stumbling upon what we really are.
(What we may find will transcend all archetypes.)

Es todo un placer traerte el último capítulo de una serie de canciones que escribí sobre la psique femenina vista a través de la lente del género de terror. Durante mucho tiempo, he sentido que el vínculo que tienen el terror y el concepto cultural de lo que es ser mujer como innegable. Un ejemplo de esto son los múltiples arquetipos femeninos que ha ido creando: la Scream Queen, Final Girl, el súcubo o la víctima indefensa.
Quizás, jugando en las áreas más grises encontremos un punto medio- acuchillando expectativas y tropezando con lo que realmente somos.
